We've successfully managed to build an automated backup environment for our client operating within the requirements and limitations of their network.

In short, the problem was that our client wanted their main Windows server cloned regularly to an off-site NAS, but the broadband connection they used had lousy upload capacity and they were not able to change connections.
Solution: We created VPN tunnels using hardware firewalls to connect the two locations. Macrium Reflect was set up to clone the server regularly through this tunnel into a remote NAS including some other backup cycles such as cloning more frequently updated files.
We used full and incremental backups and even managed to create automated cleanup and monitoring for this environment. We have also tested a server restore and folder backups several times remotely from the NAS. Macrium Reflect can browse image files through the tunnel incredibly fast even when broadband connections in use aren't that good.”
